Close to 10,000 web pages today joined a protest against the cyber law, inwhat organizers say as the largest initiative of its kind in the country’s history.The complaint, organized from the page “www.sopastrike.com” that began shortly after midnight, with the participation of thousands web sites and companies, including Google, Wikipedia, Reddit, WordPress and Mozilla,according to activists.
The initiative, which includes the outage or deactivation of some websites for 24 hours is a project of the nonprofit organization “Fight for the Future” whichseeks to stop the bill known by its acronym soup (“Stop Online Piracy Act “), as amended by the House of Representatives, and PIPA (” IP PROTECT Act “), as amended by the Senate.
