The world capital of flamenco |

These days the city of “Jerez” is not only the capital of wine, bulls and horses. It is also the world capital of flamenco. That’s almost like saying that is the capital of Andalusia, at least of its symbols and its most recognized tautology. It is celebrated in the great city of Cadiz the XVII Festival Flamenco de Jerez.

Connoisseurs of cante jondo look these days to the four major stages of the competition because they know that they will act the leading figures of singing, playing and dancing with young talent that once monopolize the attention of the great fans.

The Festival of Jerez will run until March 9 and until that day is expected to rise to Villamarta Theatre, to theaters and Company and Paul Villavicencio Palace fifty artists, paintings and sets.
