Whites, reds, pinks, generous and sparkling Spanish all competed to be the one of the female audience. They were the protagonists and have given their verdict in the second competition organized by Catalan Women’s Association Friends of Wine (Amavi) to select the best wines in seven categories. Prestigious sommeliers were in charge of finding the best wines awarded the Golden Grapes while a hundred women amateur group decided the prize Amavi. The first of the tasting was held on May 9 by professional jury consisting of 25 tasters experts among which stood out names like sommeliers Monica Fernandez 99 Sushi Bar, Maria Jose Jurado of Gate 57, M ª José Huertas of Terrace Casino, restaurant Pilar Rodriguez and Silvia García Guijarro Volvoreta Kabuki Wellington, Otilia Romero de Arva Vitis, Marina Garcia Gonzalez Byass and Maribel Gomez Vinoselección among others. On May 23 the second tasting was held this time with a jury amateur. One hundred amateur wine savvy Amavi decided the prize.
