Barack Obama was able to recover from the slump Tuesday first debate with Mitt Romney in an aggressive second encounter. Under the rules, the public was not allowed to react to candidates, but in the auditorium of the University of Hofstra was heard a gasp and chuckle to the exchanges between the two bitter tone.

At the University of Long Island’s two candidates faced questions from a group of undecided voters selected by Gallup. In one of the more difficult by unpredictable formats, both played much since polls now show a tie with a slight advantage for Romney. According to surveys, the average daily makes Real Clear Politics, Republican is a few tenths ahead of Obama and wins in key battleground states like Florida.
Obama, who made an effort to appear more alive in this debate, repeated several times the tagline of “that’s not true” and rejected the figures and claims Romney in almost every speech. But McCain also came ready to fight.
