The number of births in January totaled 7,951, 11.6% more than the samemonth of 2011, reported the National Statistics Institute (INE).

The subscribed capital for the formation of new companies exceeded 755.3 million euros, an increase of 64% over previous year enerodel. The average capital subscribed for each of them was increased 46.9% to 94,994 euros.

In January 3074 companies were dissolved, 7.9% more than the same month of 2011, that 81% did so voluntarily, 10.2% due to mergers and 8.8% for other causes. According to INE, in January 5143 expanded capital firms, 43.2%more than last year, while capital subscribed for these operations fell 5.4% to7,845,000 and the average capital subscribed was 1 , 52 million, 34% less.

Of the total number of births in January, 27.4% were in construction and real estate development and trade 21.7%, while 9.6% were in industry and energy7.9% to hospitality, 2.9% for transport and storage and 2.3% in agriculture and fishing.
