The capital of Spain, Madrid will be next Tuesday in the capital of European chambers of commerce. The dome of Eurochambres, the association that integrates to 2,000 chambers of commerce across the continent and representing 20 million SMEs, meets in Spain for the first time since its founding in 1958.
Eurochambres, created a year after the birth of the European Communities, is the umbrella association of chambers of commerce from 45 countries of the continent and has become one of the pillars of business representation in the European institutions.
While in Spain, the direction of Eurochambres (who chairs the Italian Alessandro Barberis, head of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turin) will hold meetings with various Spanish authorities and government representatives. So, on Tuesday, the presidents of the European Chambers will be received in audience by His Majesty King Juan Carlos I.
