The Balearic entrepreneur “Abel Matutes” has acquired 5% of the shares of the tour group Globalia through his company Festival Hotels. This is the percentage shareholding that had until now the general manager of the tour group, Javier Hidalgo, who will continue in office.
“It is a decision that will benefit both companies, because it opens a vast horizon of synergies between them and not just at the hotel”, said Javier Hidalgo. “Mr. Matutes, which is one of the great tourism in Spain, was interested in entering Globalia, and this is the formula that we have chosen. No doubt Globalia is stronger now, “he added.
Meanwhile, Abel Matutes expressed his satisfaction with this stage of collaboration that now opens with Globalia. “This will mean greater air connectivity of the Balearic Islands in general and especially Ibiza with Air peninsula across Europe.”
