The Spanish driver Fernando Alonso led the first practice session at the Grand Prix of Spain in the first contact of the teams with the layout of Montmelo, the first World Cup race in the calendar which takes place in Europe and for allteams have developed improvements to their cars.

The Ferrari F2012 leads first training session. Alonso was fastest in the last German Grand Prix last year, but Friday’s session is often used by teams to try different configurations, especially in Montmelo, having built developments inthe aerodynamics of the cars.
